Jadde Marruah
Photographing at Pitti Uomo 105 was a truly remarkable experience. As soon as I stepped into the historic Fortezza da Basso, I was immediately struck by the impeccable style of the attendees.
Every person seemed to embody a unique sartorial flair, from the bold and vibrant to the classically refined. It was like stepping into a living fashion editorial, with endless opportunities to capture the essence of Florentine style
What I enjoyed most, however, was the palpable sense of community. Designers, buyers, influencers, and fashion enthusiasts from around the world had come together to celebrate their shared passion. The conversations, the collaborations, the camaraderie - it all contributed to an atmosphere of genuine excitement and inspiration.
As I wandered the grounds, camera in hand, I found myself continuously in awe of the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail showcased by the fashionistas. This event truly represents the very best of Italian style. I can't wait to return for the next edition in June.”
Takayuki Kuwano
I’m Takayuki Kuwano, 22 years old, senior grade student at “Professional Institute of International Fashion”(PIIF) in Tokyo. Participated in Pitti for the first time in January 2023. It's a place I've admired since I was a junior high school student, and my dream has come true. Many of my friends who I meet often in Japan also come to pitti, and the energy of that community is amazing.
As For me, Pitti is not only a place of business, but also a festival of peace. I feel it. Their mutual love of clothes transcends borders and races, and a friendship is born. That moment is irreplaceable. I am a university student and also work as a fashion photographer. Leading the famous fashion scene at my home country and abroad.
I'm taking pictures of people. What I realized in the process of taking pictures is that they are not doing "fashion". Fashion in the form of clothes is only the superficial part of one's appearance. Not only that, but also a balance that refers to a rich lifestyle. It's fashion in the proper sense. Elegance is the attitude of establishing a style rather than following trends. They taught me how to communicate. Also, it is my personal responsibility to pass on and develop classical culture to younger generations like myself.
I think it's my role. Recently, we hear about SDGs in various industries. In the fashion industry, tailored clothing (sartoria) is. Isn't this a good example? Take care to wear each item that suits you. and pass it on to the next generation.I think the demand for tailored clothes, which basically don't have to be thrown away, will continue to grow in the future. I hope I can continue to lead the way.
Évidemment, comptez sur nous pour vous parler de l'édition 106 dans nos colonnes !
